Initial Assessment Supports Your Integration into the Finnish Society

Multilingual Info Mainio’s Initial Assessment is a proactive opportunity that helps international students living in the Tampere City Region.

The purpose of the Initial Assessment is to look into your individual profile (academic/ professional background, current situation as well as future aspirations) on the basis of which we will try to guide you towards the services you need to support your integration process into the Finnish society.

The Initial Assessment is for you if you:

  • have been living in Finland for less than 3 years
  • are planning to stay in Finland after completing your studies
  • are a 2nd year Bachelor’s or Master’s student. Mainio will accept applications from all students. However, if there are capacity issues, priority will be given to 2nd year students. Exchange students are not eligible for the assessments.
  • are a resident of the Tampere City Region
  • are not a current/previous customer of the TE-office (an unemployed jobseeker) / International Skills Center

Please note that while we, as a part of the initial assessment process may guide you to services that could support your employment, such as career counselling and guidance, the initial assessment, nevertheless, is NOT a job interview.
