Experience Tampere Campaign Connects Companies with the Right-Skilled Professionals

Finding mid to senior-level professionals with the right experience can be a challenge for many companies in Tampere, with talent availability often limited, especially in some of the newer technologies. The hiring process can also be both time-consuming and costly. To address these challenges, Experience Tampere campaign was created to support companies in sourcing suitable, skilled candidates for specific roles efficiently and effectively.
Organised by International House Tampere, Experience Tampere is a campaign that is free of charge for companies to participate, and it is developed to help companies attract and source for the right skilled professionals. It focuses on three key objectives: supporting businesses in hiring the right skilled talent, promoting Tampere as an innovative and inclusive city in Finland, and strengthening the city’s position as a leading hub for technology by targeting skilled professionals in the tech industry.
Experience Tampere campaign was piloted in 2023 with three participating companies, and in 2024, participation doubled to six companies. Among these, four companies identified skilled candidates to invite for final-round interviews in Tampere, resulting in three successful hires.

The Experience Tampere campaign has received positive feedback from participating companies and has proven to be valuable in promoting Tampere as an attractive destination for skilled professionals. Companies agreed that the campaign has made it easier for them to attract and hire talents to Tampere, a city that is still relatively unknown internationally.

Experience Tampere 2025
Building on its growing momentum and growing interest from companies in Tampere, International House Tampere is organising the 3rd edition of Experience Tampere in 2025. Companies with open job positions are invited to join the campaign in February, with talent sourcing scheduled to take place from March to May.
What the Campaign Offers to Companies
Extensive Media Coverage: Paid and organic digital marketing to promote the campaign, the participating companies, and available job openings to targeted countries.
Expert talent sourcing tailored to your needs and requirements: A dedicated HR recruitment partner to identify and source for the right skilled candidates in your preferred target countries.
Network Collaboration: Promotion of your company and job vacancies through key networks, such as Business Finland’s target markets (both within and outside the EU) and EURES network.
Open Jobs Visibility: Highlighting the open jobs in social media platforms, HR partner’s website and at major events in Tampere, Emigration Expo in the Netherlands, and Web Summit Rio in Brazil.
In-Person Interviews: Opportunity for participating companies to meet and interview shortlisted final candidates face-to-face.
Hospitality for Finalists: Complimentary accommodation, local transportation, and curated activities for finalists and their families to experience Tampere.
The Grand Finale: Experience Tampere Week
The campaign will culminate with Experience Tampere Week on 9–13 June 2025. During this five-day event, selected final candidates and their spouses/families will be invited to visit Tampere to experience both professional and personal life in the city.

- Opportunities to explore Tampere’s vibrant lifestyle and work environment.
- A carefully curated program showcasing Finland’s renowned work-life balance.
Note: While the city of Tampere covers accommodation and official activities during the week, flight and visa fees are not included.
